.In life everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it. -Henry Ford

There is something to be said about the contraventions that we encounter throughout our life span here on this transmogrifying planet. These contraventions are often at times imperative to concuss and awaken those implicit deftness amidst us that are so deeply interwoven and consolidated that customarily they can only be awakened through a crisis or a powerful feeling of inspiration. As the saying goes, the human spirit is moved by two emotions, inspiration or desperation. I would like to accentuate that it is usually a little bit of both. Either way, circumstances will test our grit and there is no way to avoid the challenging ones. If you are breathing, which if you are reading this you are, the space you occupy will be “tested” at some point. So what do we do? Do we face everything and rise or forget everything and run? How we respond to this four letter word called FEAR will always determine our outcome to the challenge.
How many of you have flown to a different city, state, country or continent? Maybe a fair amount of you have. To us who have had the luxury of sitting patiently in our cushioned seats while being under the physical spell of a magical clicking seatbelt, the plane ride appears to be fairly easy with little challenge until we hit some “turbulence”. Then we notice that things are not so comfortable after all. But what does the pilot tell us before take off? To fasten your seatbelts. They know that resistance is expected. But somehow we still become surprised not knowing that the plane has a great challenge to take you to your destination. This is called wind resistance. The plane must embrace this turbulence by going through it to rise above it. This is a great lesson. Are you encountering your challenge by thinking through it or away from it? Are you willing to not run away but take it instead onto the runway of determination such as the airplane? You will not rise to the occasion if you are looking at that challenge with a conviction of uncertainty.

Henry Ford said that, “when everything in life seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind and not with it!” So brace yourself for the turbulence that the challenging winds of the days can and will bring to you. To get through the challenge, you simply have to go through it. Your mind and emotions must be disciplined to work together as the mind is the engine of your thinking power for take off and the wings are the emotions for how high or low you go.. If the wings of your emotions become broken by FEAR, ANGER or consistent FRUSTRATION, then the plane will not get very high. If your mind is focusing on the crash landing perspective you will not allow yourself the opportunity to even take off. Don’t runaway from the obstacle but look at it for what it is and know that your thinking and emotions should encounter it with confidence to go through it before you can rise above it
